Reporting a listing or member

If you see a listing that breaches our Acceptable Use Policy, appears to be a scam, or is otherwise unsafe, use the "Report" link on the listing or email us via the contact page. Include the listing URL and a short description of the issue.

Intellectual property infringement

Firebid respects intellectual property rights. We will investigate and, where appropriate, remove listings that infringe a third party's copyright, trade mark, or other IP rights.

How to submit a notice

Send a notice via our contact page that includes:

  1. Your full name, postal address, phone number, and email.
  2. Identification of the IP right you own or are authorised to enforce (e.g. trade mark registration number, copyright work).
  3. The URL(s) of the Firebid listing(s) you are reporting.
  4. A clear description of how the listing infringes your rights.
  5. A statement, made in good faith, that the use is not authorised by you, your agent, or the law.
  6. A statement that the information in your notice is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are the rights holder or authorised to act on their behalf.
  7. Your physical or electronic signature.

Counter-notice

If your listing was removed and you believe this was a mistake, you may submit a counter-notice with the same contact details, the URL of the removed listing, and a statement explaining why you have the right to list the item. We may restore the listing if the original reporter does not pursue the matter.

Repeat infringers

Accounts found to repeatedly infringe IP rights will be suspended or permanently closed.

Law enforcement requests

Lawful requests from Australian authorities should be sent in writing via the contact page. We will respond in accordance with applicable Australian law.
